Breakfast has long been known as the most important meal of the day. It literally breaks down to “breaking the fast”. Technically we all fast overnight while we are sleeping so the morning is the longest we will go throughout the day without eating, also known as fasting.
What is a normal breakfast?
Man, this is a loaded question! The therapist in me would ask you “what is your definition of normal?” A typical breakfast will also vary geographically. Not only in the US, but also in different countries.
And English breakfast differs from pastries and espresso in Italy or a full American breakfast in the South. The best breakfast will vary from person to person.
What are the most popular recipes in the United States?
These are most popular breakfast foods according to 5 different sites I surveyed. They are in no particular order.
I am no nutritionist, but I do know that food gives you energy and you need energy to make your body run effectively. Like a car with gas, it needs gas to run and higher quality gas makes your car run better. Same with food for our bodies.
Some food may taste good, but not be the same quality for our bodies to run effectively.
I believe you should consume things in moderation, so if every once a while you decide to eat sugar breakfast, no judgement here. And while in the states we have basically made carbs the enemy, other countries still eat nothing but buttery pastries and caffeine for breakfast and have way better health overall than we do.
