5S Philosophy 👩🏻
- Salt – I do add fine sea salt to the seasoning mix for these taco burgers. It helps to bring out all the flavors of the other ingredients.
- Seasoning – This recipe looks like it has along ingredient list because I’m making a homemade taco seasoning. You can just as easily buy a packet from the store!
- Sauces – I like to top these burgers with sour cream, but Sriracha Sour Cream, sometimes called Mexican Yum Yum, is also a good pick.
- Swaps – To reduce spice, cut down on crushed red pepper flakes and cayenne pepper. You can also opt to make your own Pico de Gallo or pick some up at the store.
- Senses – Sizzling beef seasoned with smoky spices meets the crunch of pico de gallo and the creamy tang of melted cheese. Each bite bursts with bold taco flavor, wrapped in a toasty bun—juicy, zesty, and totally crave-worthy.
Make it a Meal
You can serve these taco burgers with just about anything you serve regular burgers with! If you want to keep it tex-mex, try serving with guacamole and tortilla chips.
I served mine with French fries and Spicy Ketchup, but you can also give my Spicy Potato Wedges a whirl!

Storage and Freezing
Burgers are a hard thing to reheat after being assembled, so I highly encourage you to finish the meal, but should you have leftovers of this taco burgers recipe, store the burgers separately in an airtight container in the refrigerator and off the bun.
Reheat in a skillet or a quick trip to the microwave and then assemble the burger from scratch just like the original instructions.
You can store uncooked burgers in the freezer for up to three months as long as they are wrapped with plastic wrap or packaged correctly.
