Gather This

You only need a handful of simple ingredients to make these pizza sliders. A full list of ingredients with measurements for this recipe is available in the printable recipe card below.

  • Slider rolls – You can use any type of rolls, but I prefer those delicious Hawaiian sweet rolls. They’re easy to tear apart and the flavor is unmatched.
  • Marinara sauce – Use your favorite. Whether that’s a jar from the grocery store or a homemade recipe.
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Pepperoni
  • Butter
  • Garlic powder

Favorite Pizza Toppings

The toppings for these pizza sliders are really endless. Whether you like lots of cheese or want to put a fun twist on traditional pizza flavors, you can mix up your pizza sliders toppings however you’d like. These are just some suggestions:

  • Crumbled sausage
  • Pepperoni
  • Diced bell pepper
  • Chopped onion
  • Mushrooms
  • Pineapple
  • Ham
  • Jalapenos
  • Crushed red pepper flakes
  • Black olives
  • Green pepper

5S Philosophy 👩🏻‍

  • Salt – I like to use coarse kosher salt to bring out the other flavors of these pizza sliders. Make sure to use unsalted butter so as not to have too much salt.
  • Seasonings – In addition to the italian seasoning and garlic powder, try adding onion powder for more flavor or even red pepper flakes for some heat.
  • Sauces – You can dip your sliders in more marinara, garlic butter sauce or even ranch dressing.
  • Swaps – Swap your pepperoni for turkey pepperoni to save a few calories. You can also use whichever type of cheese you prefer.
  • Senses – Warm and cheesy, pizza sliders pull apart with gooey mozzarella, release the aroma of herbs and pepperoni, and deliver a soft, savory bite in every mouthful.

Make it A Meal

If serving as an appetizer, I suggest pairing your pizza sliders with something like Easy Sausage BallsClassic Deviled Eggs, or Cheesy Fried Ravioli.

If serving as an easy weeknight dinner, serve with sides like a Kale Salad, caesar salad, pasta salad, Brown Sugar Sweet Potato FriesSeasoned Peas and Onions or Balsamic Roasted Root Vegetables.

Storage and Freezing

How to store?

Store leftovers in an airtight container or wrapped in aluminum foil in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Leftover pizza sliders can be reheated in the oven wrapped in aluminum foil at 300°F for about 10 minutes or in the microwave, although microwaving can make the bread rubbery so I strongly suggest using the oven. Or you can be like my husband and just eat them cold.

Can I freeze pizza sliders?

I don’t recommend freezing these as a sandwich. They will most likely thaw being a soggy.
