Gather This

You only need four simple ingredients (and some fun toppings!) to make this witches brew punch. A full list of ingredients with measurements for this recipe is available in the printable recipe card below.

  • Lime sherbet – Not only does this give the punch a tangy lime flavor, but it also aids in making those witches brew-like bubbles!
  • Lemon-lime soda – The obvious soda to use here is Sprite, but you can also use 7Up or another off brand lemon-lime soda.
  • Mini marshmallows – Adding marshmallows to this punch gives the effect of bubbles- as in bubble, bubble toil and trouble!
  • Green food coloring – This is optional, and can definitely be left out if you are a dye-free family. But it does give a fun, witchy spin.
  • Candy – We used gummy worms, gummy eyeballs and festive sprinkles. But you can use any fun toppings you find.

Mix it Up!

There are several ways you can make this witches brew your own spooky concoction. Here are a few ideas.

  • Booze it up – If serving at an adult Halloween party, consider adding some liquor! Vodka, rum or tequila would all be fun boozy options.
  • Change up the color – Instead of green brew, change up the color or your sherbet and food coloring to make other fun colors. Orange sherbet or raspberry sherbet would be fun.
  • Make it spooky – Try adding a block of dry ice to the punch bowl to make a spooky, smoky scene!

Whether for a Halloween party or just a fun treat for the kids, this Witches Brew punch is easy to make , festive and a fun sipper!
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 12

Ingredients

  • 1 quart lime sherbet
  • 2 liters lemon-lime soda
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • green food coloring , optional and used for a neon green look
  • gummy worms , candy eyeballs or other types of Halloween candy

Instructions

Punchbowl:

  • Scoop the 1 quart lime sherbet into a large punchbowl. Scooping helps it melt evenly and easily instead of it just being a brick.
  • When ready to serve, pour the 2 liters lemon-lime soda over top and stir until melted. Add additional green food coloring , if desired.
  • Top with the 1 cup mini marshmallows and garnish with Halloween gummy worms or jelly candy eyeballs.
  • If serving at a party, make ice cubes in an ice cube tray from additional lemon-lime soda and add 5-6 every 30 minutes to keep the punch cold, but not water it down.

Single Cups:

  • Depending on the size of the cup, place 2-3 scoops of sherbet in each cup.
  • Fill, leaving 1-inch at the top, with lemon-lime soda.
  • Garnish with Halloween décor and mini marshmallows.
  • If you've tried this recipe, come back and let us know how it was in the comments or star ratings.

Notes

For extra green color, add ½ teaspoon of green food coloring, otherwise it will be a pale green.

Storage and Freezing

How to store?

This witches brew punch is best enjoyed immediately, but you can store any leftovers in an airtight container or pitcher in the refrigerator for up to two days.

Can I freeze witches brew?

Unfortunately, this punch is best enjoyed right after making and I do not recommend freezing it.
