Strawberry Jalapeño Crostini are a sweet heat perfect for a quick snack or entertaining. Sweet, spicy and savory, they are the perfect blend!
I crave a few flavor affinities, but my all-time favorite, the one I want on a daily basis is sweet and spicy. Sweet heat is my absolute favorite. New Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeño Fruit Spread provides me with the flavor I seek using better-for-you ingredients.
Look at these cute little crostini, they look fancy and sophsiticated, but are actually simple to prepare, requiring only 5 ingredients. Six if you count the Maldon sea salt, but since I consider this a basic ingredient, it doesn’t count. (Insert smiley face here.) The other ingredients are pretty exciting too.
Crostini are just little toasts, some grocery stores will carry them pre-made, but you can also slice a loaf of French bread and bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. You can also use crackers, like Wasa Crackers.
All natural, crunchy and wholesome, Wasa Crackers are thinner and thus take up less room in your tummy. This means you get to chow down on even more delicious Strawberry Jalapeño Crostini.
The last ingredient can be challenging to find, I admit it, but it is so much fun and will really give the WOW factor: raw honeycomb. Honeycomb perfectly complements Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeño Fruit Spread because it is also made with natural honey.
Plus it looks really cool! I like to set it out next to my tray of Strawberry Jalapeño Crostini so everyone can see the whole honeycomb shaped slab. Honeycomb is edible, so it makes the perfect garnish.

- 12 crostini small toasts
- 2 oz goat cheese softened
- 4 tablespoons Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeño Fruit Spread
- 12 jalapeño slices thin with seeds removed
- 12 snips fresh honey comb
- Maldon sea salt
Spread softened goat cheese onto each crostini.
Evenly divide and dollop Smucker’s Fruit & Honey Strawberry Jalapeño Fruit Spread onto each crostini.
At an angle, place jalapeño slice and then a snip of fresh honey comb.
Finish by sprinkling with Maldon sea salt.
