Green sanding sugar, white candy melts, dark green candy melts, all optional
Instructions
Line baking sheets or work space with parchment paper and get all of your embellishments ready.
Fill the bottom pot of a double boiler with about 1-2 inches of water and set over medium heat. Add the chocolate to the top pot and position over the top when simmering. Melt the light green melting chocolate in a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
Using a spoon or dipping tool, dip each Oreo into the melting chocolate, tapping the sides to smooth and get rid of excess. Place into the parchment paper. Repeat with remaining cookies.
If drizzling with light green chocolate, transfer some into a piping bag, snipping a small corner, and drizzling over the cookies. Repeat with white chocolate or dark green chocolate too. Use sanding sugar while chocolate is still tacky.
Afix a red heart to each cookies.
Allow to set at room temperature or chill to speed up the process.

Notes
I highly suggest using light green melting chocolate. While adding green food coloring to chocolate seems simple, it is a fat and and food coloring is water based. Instead of coloring the chocolate, it will look grainy and like polka dots. Melting chocolate has has vegetable shortening added so it melts and dips smoother than plain chocolate which has a tendency to seize.
