Cabbage Steaks – cabbage  – olive oil – fine sea salt  – black pepper – bacon

Cut the head of cabbage into 1-inch slices, cutting horizontally. Place them on a baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the cabbage steaks, spreading out with a basting brush. Season with the fine sea salt and ground black pepper.
