Some people hear “food blogger” and envision me putting together a full meal every night. You know, three courses, including dessert. Possibly wearing petticoats, pearls and heels. Ha!
The vision couldn’t be further from the truth. While I am a food blogger, I am also a mom, a wife, a person. Life is busy. There are SO many things to do! So. Many. Things.
And while I love food and cooking, there are more nights that I am working on my laptop, doing laundry, giving the baby a bath, cleaning the house and “adulting” than nights I am donning an apron.
Okay, let’s be real. I never wear an apron. I wear yoga pants and a t-shirt. Fun fact about me: I love pretty aprons and collect them, but rarely wear them for fear of getting them dirty. Oh, the irony!
Just because I don’t have time to whip up exciting foods in the kitchen every night doesn’t mean that I don’t serve my family quality and tasty meals. My family is accustomed to good food and honestly get a little whiny when it is subpar. Even the 9-month-old turns her nose up at boring noshes.
So I am sharing one of my secrets with you: Tyson® Fully Cooked Dinner and Entrée Kits.
Quick weeknight meals or super busy weekend meals can be both easy and delicious. Let’s face it, those weekends can sometimes be even busier than weeknights!
Tyson Fully Cooked Dinner and Entrée Kits found at Albertsons have both have high-quality protein. The dinner kits include vegetables, which makes for a well-rounded meal. Prepped, portioned and frozen at the peak of freshness, they are packaged in a vacuum sealed tray to prevent freezer burn and guarantee quality. Tyson all-natural chicken* is made with no antibiotics ever and are minimally processed.
Nothing is easier. The protein cooks in under 20 minutes in a skillet or the oven, while the vegetable only needs a skillet. Sauces are microwaved in a blink and voila! Dinner is served!
Even the instructions aim for ease, suggesting the use of an aluminum foil lining to prevent having to wash an extra baking sheet. I appreciate those small touches because sometimes my overworked mom brain forgets time-saving steps.
And just take a look at this glorious chicken! Crispy, baked chicken, browned to perfection. It is a thing of beauty, foodie friends. So pretty, I feel like I’m dining out at a restaurant. I literally smiled at my plate when I sat down to eat just now.
Don’t get me started on the vegetables. Flavorful and crisp, you could tell folks you just plucked them from your garden and no one would be the wiser. Except that I live in the city and don’t have a garden.
A tangy tomato based red sauce brings it all together. No boring food here! Some kits even have fun little crunchies to add flavor and sophistication.
While my family’s favorite is the Tyson Fully Cooked Dinner Kit- Crispy Chicken Pomodoro (breaded chicken breasts and Italian flat beans with a tangy red sauce) we also love the other varieties available in the freezer aisle of your local Albertsons. Check them out:
